The right price comparison starts with one real task, the required outreach and platform load, available entry width and allowable outrigger layout.

1. Treat published height ranges as market examples, not rival bids
The models below demonstrate available Chinese product classes. They originate from different suppliers and are not directly equivalent products. Stowed dimensions may also depend on revisions and crawler width states.
2. Screen candidates against one brief
Illustrative requirement: minimum 24m working height, 10m horizontal distance at the actual work point, platform load 200kg, 1.10m fixed access opening and a yet-to-be-measured outrigger setup area. The 17.7m S16C fails height; the 1.25m-wide SPA33HJ fails access width. X26 and SPA27J pass only individual published headline parameters. They still require load-specific full envelopes and permitted outrigger layout confirmation.
3. Outrigger footprint is different from stowed width
A 0.90m-wide tracked lift may enter the door and still lack room to deploy support legs. Request the exact layout drawings, permissible modes, associated working range and the manufacturer’s specified support reactions. A retractable-looking leg does not create permission for arbitrary narrow positioning.
4. Resolve discrepancies in model revisions
For SPA27J, public manufacturer-region material lists different stowed lengths (4.90m and 5.55m) and width presentations (0.90m versus 0.90/1.40m). Ask which version, track setting, measuring state and document are contractually applicable. X26 public language pages also differ on machine weight. Do not select the most favorable figure.
5. Calculate whether optional equipment pays
Once both machines pass all hard requirements, compare complete landed quotations and separately priced accessories. Illustrative only: an approved option costing USD2,400 that actually adds USD300 net contribution per otherwise unobtainable paid job needs 8 such jobs to cover its price, excluding other differences. If the option is mandatory to complete the work, suitability—not simple payback—governs.
